1. Our Golden Rule
Treat others the way Islam teaches us to treat them. Students must speak respectfully, tell the truth, be kind, help others, respect teachers, staff, parents, elders, younger students, and classmates; control anger; apologize when wrong; forgive others; keep hands and feet to themselves; and take responsibility for their actions.

2. Zero Tolerance for Bullying
Darul Quran Academy is a bully-free school. Students may not physically hurt, threaten, intimidate, repeatedly tease, humiliate, spread rumors about, exclude, or cyberbully another person. If you see bullying: do not join or encourage it—tell a teacher or administrator.
3. No Racism, Hatred, or Discrimination
Our community includes people from many countries, cultures, languages, and backgrounds. Students may not insult or mistreat anyone because of race, skin color, nationality, ethnic or cultural background, language or accent, family background, financial situation, disability, or learning differences.
“Indeed, the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you.” — Qur’an 49:13
4. Words Matter
A Muslim’s tongue should be clean. Cursing, swearing, name-calling, insults, vulgar language, inappropriate comments, mocking, gossip, rumors, lying, threats, and disrespectful arguments with teachers or staff are prohibited.
Before speaking, ask: Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?
5. Respect Personal Space
Students must not fight, push, shove, grab, touch another person inappropriately, take belongings without permission, damage property, or engage in inappropriate physical behavior. Students should maintain proper Islamic boundaries and respectful behavior with one another.
6–7. Islamic Dress Code
Boys: clean, modest, loose-fitting Thobe/Kurta or Academy-approved Islamic clothing, with appropriate shoes. T-shirts, shorts, jeans, tight pants, torn clothing, and inappropriate images or slogans are not regular school attire.
Girls: a full-length, loose-fitting Abaya or Academy-approved uniform, proper Hijab covering hair and neck, and modest, clean, non-transparent full-body coverage. Tight clothing, short dresses, leggings as outerwear, transparent clothing, and inappropriate images or slogans are not permitted.
8–9. Salah, Masjid & Qur’an Manners
Students must prepare properly for Salah, make Wudu correctly, join scheduled congregational Salah, remain quiet in prayer, respect the Masjid and Qur’an, keep prayer areas clean, handle the Mushaf respectfully, listen to recitation, and respect Qur’an teachers and Islamic books.
10–11. Classroom Excellence & Respect
Students must arrive on time, bring materials, listen to teachers, follow instructions, complete assignments honestly, keep classrooms clean, work hard, and never cheat. Teachers and staff deserve respectful language, polite questions, and respectful acceptance of correction. Parents are also expected to communicate respectfully with the Academy community.
12–15. Technology, Property, Safety & Attendance
Unless authorized, personal phones may not be used during instruction. Students may not secretly record others, access inappropriate content, or use technology to bully or harass. Students must care for school property and facilities. Weapons, dangerous objects, drugs, alcohol, tobacco/vaping products, inappropriate materials, and items prohibited by law or policy are not allowed. Students should attend regularly, arrive on time, and follow school arrival and dismissal procedures.
16. Parent Code of Conduct
By enrolling a child, parents agree to support the Academy’s Islamic mission, dress code, attendance, Salah, Qur’an, good manners, and study; communicate respectfully; attend requested conferences; address concerns privately rather than through arguments, rumors, or social media; keep information current; and work with the Academy regarding behavioral or academic concerns.
17. When a Rule Is Broken
Discipline is intended to teach, not simply punish. Depending on age, seriousness, repetition, safety, and circumstances, the Academy may use reminders, conferences, reflection or corrective assignments, parent notification, improvement plans, loss of privileges, suspension, other appropriate corrective action, or dismissal for serious or repeated violations. Serious safety matters may require immediate escalation.
18. Our Student Promise
I am a Darul Quran Academy student. I will respect Allah’s commands, the Qur’an and Sunnah, my parents, teachers, and every student. I will not bully or use racist or hateful words. I will keep my hands to myself, use clean language, dress modestly, protect my Salah, work hard in Qur’an and academics, tell the truth, help others, and take responsibility when I make a mistake. I will try every day to improve my Iman, knowledge, Akhlaq, and character.
